The RDA full record examples on the Toolkit website have been revised. The examples show authority and bibliographic records in both an RDA element view and a MARC encoding view of the record.

There are also two examples showing diagrams of specific RDA entities, elements, and relationships. More will be added later.

In the past six months two new translations (Finnish and Italian) and a new set of policy statements (Finnish SKLs) have been added to RDA Toolkit, bringing the total of toolkit translations to five and policy statements documents to five. Of course this means more colorful icons popping up in the RDA display.

A new release of RDA Toolkit was published on April 12, 2016. When there is a new release for RDA Toolkit, it is typically made on the second Tuesday of the month. Releases typically contain changes to content and metadata, enhancements to RDA Toolkit functionality, and fixes to existing bugs. The final versions of the proposals approved by the RDA Steering Committee during and after the November 2015 meeting have been posted on this website. Access to these "Sec final" documents is available via the new documents page (http://rda-rsc.org/newrscdocs).

The changes in RDA will not be in effect until they appear in the April 2016 Update of RDA Toolkit.

The RSC welcomes the addition of the Italian translation of RDA to RDA Toolkit. The translation joins the English, Finnish, French, German, and Spanish versions of RDA already available. The new translation is accessible to all with a subscription to RDA Toolkit, and is complete through the April 2014 update to RDA.

On March 8th, RDA Toolkit published the Italian language translation of RDA. The new translation is accessible to all with a subscription to RDA Toolkit. Users whose browser language preference is set to Italian will be automatically logged into the Italian version of RDA. Users may also log into to their profiles and set Italian as their preferred language.

In 2014 ALA Publishing, on behalf of the RDA Co-Publishers, signed an agreement on the Italian language rights translation in RDA: Resource Description and Access with the Central Institute for the Union Catalogue of Italian Libraries (ICCU) that is responsible for the translation of the Italian language version of the new cataloguing standard.
