New Download: Slides for Educators
The RSC is pleased to announce the publication of its first set of Template RDA Teaching Slides (download here). Developed by Elisa Sze, Education and Orientation Officer, these slides were created in direct response to educators who have requested teaching materials that they can adapt for their own classroom use.
To support educational and training needs, the RSC is making the template slides freely and openly available under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license.
The template slides will be updated periodically by the Education and Orientation Officer when impacted by significant updates to RDA Toolkit content. The slide deck is unbranded, and examples and prompts for educators are highlighted in the slides to emphasize opportunities for local adaptations and customizations. Links back to specific pages within the RDA Toolkit are embedded throughout the slide deck, and supplemented by citation numbers in the speaking notes where appropriate. An outline of the slides has also been published to help guide educators through the slide deck.
The publication of these slides follows upon the release earlier this year of the "Tips for Educators" handout. Additional resources for educators can be found on the Learning Resources web page.
The Education and Orientation Officer always welcomes opportunities to hear from educators and trainers regarding RDA, as well as translators who may be interested in translating these learning resources. The EOO can be reached at elisa@rdatoolkit.org.
