The Joint Steering Committee for Development of RDA (JSC) will meet Nov. 2-6, 2015, in Edinburgh, Scotland, at the National Library of Scotland.
The committee will discuss the transition to a new governance model that is part of the commitment to ongoing internationalisation of RDA and to collaboration with other cultural heritage description communities.
The Committee of Principals for RDA has issued the following statement dated 29 May 2015:
RDA is a package of data elements, guidelines, and instructions for creating library and cultural heritage resource metadata that are well-formed according to international models for user-focussed linked data applications.
RDA has always been a continually evolving standard that aims to reflect the requirements of the cataloguing, metadata and description community.
The final versions of the proposals approved by the Joint Steering Committee for Development of RDA during and after its November 2014 meeting have been posted on this web site.
