Public Session of the RSC Meeting, 12 November 2024: Papers available; registration open
The agenda for the Public Session of the RSC Meeting on 12 November 2024 is now available.
The following proposals will be discussed:
- RSC/ORDAC/2024/1/rev – Proposal on Dual-language naming of Corporate Body and Place
- RSC/TechnicalWG/2024/1 – Proposal to revise the definitions of aggregate, aggregating work and aggregates guidance
- RSC/ExamplesEditor/2024/1 – Proposal to add glossary definitions for fictitious entity and non-human entity
- RSC/ReligionsWG/2024/2 – Proposal to Revise Name of Corporate Body
We will also be discussing RSC/ExtentWG/2024/1/rev2 – Discussion Paper on the Development of Extent Elements in RDA.
As always, the RSC is looking forward to welcoming observers online and (in limited numbers) in person at the Library of Congress, from 2-5pm (US Eastern Time) on Tuesday 12 November. You can register by emailing RSC Secretary Anne Welsh, RSCsecretary@rdatoolkit.org and letting her know whether you would like to attend in person or be sent the Zoom link to attend online. If you are completing the form to attend the Outreach Day on 13 November, there is a checkbox on it to let the Secretary know you plan to attend (so you do not need to also email her separately). In either case, please do not make plans to travel until you have received an email confirming a place has been allocated to you.
RSC Chair Renate Behrens would like to thank Judith Cannan and her colleagues at the Library of Congress for hosting the RSC Meeting and for all their help in organising and advertising the Public Session and Outreach Day to the local library community. RSC members are looking forward to welcoming members of the cataloguing community from NARDAC and beyond.

Update 5 November 2024
The agenda has been updated to the final version circulated to registrants. Please note: registrants' joining instructions include the room number or Zoom meeting details. Registration is still open - email the RSC Secretary and she will reply as soon as possible. (Note: she will be travelling from London to Washington, so please do allow three working days for replies, though she will attempt to reply sooner if possible).
