The quarterly meeting schedule for the RDA Steering Committee for 2020 is:

The conversation continued at the 2019 ALA Midwinter Conference in Philadelphia between representatives of the RDA Steering Committee and the larger BIBFRAME community (which includes the Library of Congress/NDMSO, LD4P, Share-VDE, and the organizer group of the annual BIBFRAME workshops in Europe). A possible field of future cooperation is an approach to application profiles.

On February 7^th a new minor release was published to the beta RDA Toolkit. The release is almost entirely comprised of fixes to the functionality of the site, including corrections to the Citation numbering service and search, and adjustments to improve the performance of the user-created content tools (bookmarks, notes, and documents).

The ALA Midwinter Meeting and Exhibits will take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from January 24th to 28th, and there will be plenty of activities for those with an interest in RDA and updates on the 3R Project. of particular note are three events organized by the members of the North A

RDA Toolkit is hosting a preconference workshop at the ALA Midwinter Meeting in Philadelphia. The workshop aims to demystify the beta site and prepare catalogers for the future transition to the updated standard. New terms and concepts will be explained and their understanding reinforced through hands-on exercises.

RDA Online Orientation Series

RDA is bringing back the New Concept series that debuted last July. The series is part of the RDA Online Orientation Project that provides an introduction to the many changes to RDA and RDA Toolkit introduced during the 3R Project.
