April's Public Session features NLNZ Official RDA Implementation

Given the popularity of the presentation given by Michaela Edelmann and Mathias Manecke (DNB (Deutsche Nationalbibliothek)) at our last Public Session, RSC Chair Renate Behrens is delighted that Ebe Kartus (NLNZ (Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa National Library of New Zealand)) has agreed to provide an update and share lessons learned so far in the implementation of Official RDA at NLNZ. NLNZ has chosen a different path in its support documentation.
Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa National Library of New Zealand is the first library in the Anglophone community to implement Official RDA, and, as such, the eyes of the former Anglo-American Cataloguing community are on it, as well as those of RDA cataloguers across the globe. Subscribers to RDA-L will have seen Ebe's posts sharing links to the training materials that NLNZ has made available to date, with more to come.
Charlotte Christensen (RSC Oceania Representative) gave an overview of NLNZ's activities at the RSC Outreach Day in November 2024. The recording is available on the RDA Toolkit YouTube channel (scroll to 01:00:43 for start).
The Public Session takes place on Tuesday 8 April 2025, 6-8pm UTC (There is a handy time converter here). If you would like to register as an observer, please contact RSC Secretary Anne Welsh, RSCsecretary@rdatoolkit.org and she will be happy to send you the joining instructions (including Zoom link) closer to the time.
