New RDA Examples Editor Appointed
Following a very successful recruitment process, the RDA Steering Committee (RSC) is delighted to announce the appointment of Jessica Grzegorski to follow Honor Moody as RDA Examples Editor.
Jessica Grzegorski is Head of Cataloging at the Newberry Library in Chicago. She is well-known in the rare books community, having served on the RBMS RDA Editorial Group, which publishes and maintains Descriptive Cataloging of Rare Materials (RDA Edition) (DCRMR) and the RBMS Policy Statements, since 2019.
RSC Chair, Renate Behrens, said, "We were very sorry to see Honor leave the RSC at the end of her term, but are delighted to have found such an experienced RDA Examples Editor in Jessica. As well as her knowledge as an RDA Policy Statement Writer and as a co-editor of the main standard in the English language for rare books cataloging, Jessica's previous international committee work makes her an ideal person to lead our recently-constituted Examples Working Group."
The RSC as a whole is delighted that Honor Moody is staying on as a member of the Examples Working Group and will ease Jessica's transition into the role. As a new Standing Working Group, it is actively recruiting for members. If you have experience in generating examples, perhaps for teaching and training colleagues, and are interested in getting involved, please contact Jessica in the first instance. Her contact details are available on our list of RSC members.
