Renate Behrens Awarded IFLA Scroll of Appreciation

The RDA Steering Committee (RSC) is delighted that its Chair, Renate Behrens, has been awarded the IFLA Scroll of Appreciation at the IFLA General Assembly in the Hague today (20 June). 

Her citation is "for her distinguished contribution to IFLA, for her extensive achievements, expertise, dedication and service, substantially impacting the area of international standards for cataloguing including resource description and access."

In her acceptance speech, which you can watch at 1:11 on the YouTube recording of the meeting, Renate shared that she has found the "collegiality in the IFLA working groups an invaluable asset" and encouraged others to get involved in them.
