A new release of RDA Toolkit was published on October 13, 2015. Releases typically contain updates to content and metadata, enhancements to RDA Toolkit functionality, and fixes to existing bugs. You can subscribe to our RSS development feed to get notification of releases.
The details of the October release follow.
The release contained corrections, clarification of wording about authorized access points, and Fast Track changes from the JSC. Details on these October changes are available in 6JSC/Sec/17 on the JSC site.
The release also included revisions to the French and German versions of RDA. Revisions to the German language translation put it in line with the English-language RDA as of the August 2015 release. Details of French translation revisions for the October release are here. The release also included updates to the MARC/RDA bibliographic mappings.
The release included updates to Library of Congress-Program for Cooperative Cataloging Policy Statements (LC-PCC PS), Music Library Association Best Practices (MLA BP), and National Library of Australia Policy Statements, as well as policy statements from Committee for Library Standards for the application of RDA in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, known as Anwendungsrichtlinien (D-A-CH AWRs). There were no significant development updates for this release.
There were a number of fixes to broken and missing links and corrected formatting to tables in the D-A-C-H AWRs.
